Last bit of sun on our last day in Japan while filming for the @gopro video 'Searching for Perfection' ! Luckily we found what we came for right at the perfect time! The sun doesn't come out often over there in the winter, and on this day we heli lapped from sunrise to sunset. // #gopro #gts #stackingfooty #rockdiscrete #japan #hokkaido #goprosnow

Always a method to the mayhem. We love the women of winter!!!🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒 A method a day keeps the doctor away 💁 😜 I seriously LOVE this trick. By far one of my most favorite things to do on a snowboard. What's your favorite trick? 📷 @karacapow • • • • • #snowboardermethodmonday #checkthemethod #flyhigh #summersnow #yogaeverydamnday #findyourniche #rockdiscrete #xsunified #stuffyouprobablywant #flowojai #liverefreshed #cherryoftheday 🍒

This is my favorite photo from our trip. We moved through relatively easy terrain until we hit the main ridge. We skirted along it for a few hundred feet and the exposure when from 0 to 10 immediately. Kim had never experienced so much exposure on a big mountain like this and when we reached this knife edge section she began to doubt herself. Being unsure, we hesitated and decided maybe it wasn't a good choice if she wasn't 100% sure. Our two friends, Martin and Brent continued on ahead while Kim and I prepped to turn around. A while went by and we were still in this same position. The thought of turning around was really difficult for Kim to process and I didn't want to push her into something she didn't feel comfortable on. Eventually, she began to cry, explaining that she knew she could do it, but was just afraid. It was really hard for me to see her upset, but something seemed to ignite and she got up, and walked to the ridge. She crossed the knife edge section so confidently that I had a hard time keeping up. 15 minutes later, we had caught up to our friends and we all continued to the top together. There is something to be said about being afraid of something and doing it anyways. It is the reason why climbing has become such a big part of my life and it was really great to watch Kim experience the type of accomplishment that comes from overcoming fear. Photo by @bshafs

Kim appreciating the impressiveness of the long skyline ridge that is our route.

Nothing like an early morning knife ridge with 2000ft drops on both sides to get your blood pumping.
