Good morning! thank you thank you for your outpouring of love for our poe’s very first year, we felt all of it! if i’m being really honest, i’ve never been ‘good’ at birthdays and our day was filled with just as much sobbing (on my part) as celebration. no part of me can believe it’s been an entire and perfect year of our poe; i’ve shared this in the past, but it’s never held truer than yesterday – the hardest, most beautiful thing about children is their embodiment of time. growing, developing, manifesting their truest selves between every tick • celebrating the best way we knew how – with the meal that catapulted our babe into this universe (though significantly less spicy and on real plates instead of styrofoam). Day 2 of Coffee + Sugar Detox☕ Bulletproof Chai latte recipe: one cup of steeped chai tea, dash of unsweetened almond milk, 1 tbsp XCT oil, a little honey, 1/2 tsp of ashwaghanda, 1/2 tsp of raw cacao ✨ I also would've added @furtherfood collagen but it hasn't arrived yet 😭 Ashwaghanda is an adoptogenic herb that helps the body deal with stress and anxiety. Raw cacao is a "superfood" that is rich in iron, magnesium, calcium, sulphur (which helps the body naturally detox), among other antioxidants. I'm hoping these two will help me balance my hormones and 'reset' my body these next 2 weeks! I'm also diffusing wild orange, grapefruit and eucalyptus to help energize myself this morning ☀️ #gbdetoxchallenge

The other day I took my first ever meditation class (shout out to the @splendidspoonny team for taking me!) and I realized how hard was for me to keep my mind in silence. My brain was spinning with ideas, and I was just getting frustrated because I wanted a bit of silence in my head. Sometimes that's all we need. A bit of silence to tune in with ourselves, to make smarter and * conscious * decisions. Sometimes I have to be in complete silence to think outside the box. To ask myself what I want and what's the next move. Changing a habit of a thought doesn't have to dramatic, can be as simple as deciding to bring your own mug today and don't get the plastic straw. It can be accepting the fact that you want to make a change. Think outside your box today ✨ • • • El otro día tomé mi primera clase de meditación (¡gracias al equipo de @splendidspoonny por llevarme!) Y me di cuenta de lo difícil que era mantener mi mente en silencio. Mi mente estaba pensando en tantas ideas, pero yo me estaba frustrando porque quería un poco de silencio en mi cabeza. A veces eso es todo lo que necesitamos. Un poco de silencio para sintonizar con nosotros mismos, para tomar decisiones más inteligentes y conscientes. A veces tengo que estar en completo silencio para pensar fuera de lo normal. Para preguntarme lo que quiero y cuál es el siguiente paso. Cambiar el hábito de un pensamiento no tiene que ser dramático, puede ser tan simple como decidir traer su propia taza hoy y no comprar el café en la taza de plástico. Puede ser aceptar el hecho de que desea hacer un cambio. Hoy piensa fuera de zona de comfort ✨
