Hey, recognize this girl? @thebluedragoon
This babe came back for a good repairing after her first con ending in a few spots awkwardly falling apart. I was the first to admit that these errors were my fault-- I was working with a tight schedule in getting her done in time for BLFC, the eyes falling out was a newly discovered problem with all my newer big-eyed suits and one I recently figured out how to remedy, the head sizing being too big may have had to do with the Lycra lining stretching out, and the stitching in the back of the head was done with the ladder stitch that, as I've been discovering is an unreliable stitch-- so as my TOS stated I offered to repair free of charge. It was a perfect opportunity to put my newly-learned repair skills to the test and a great time to learn my past mistakes to make all upcoming suits more sturdy!
In the videos here I also did a bit of stress-testing to make sure the durability is sure in my suits. I do highly believe in manhandling any suit a bit to make sure parts don't come loose instantly, but never do anything you wouldn't do to a finished suit. Take this video as my advice on how to stress-test a suit; lift suits by ears, horns, and hair to make sure they won't come loose via tugging or improper carrying, lift by the neck to ensure the stitching doesn't come loose, and poke at eyes lightly to make sure they won't come out should something fall in them. I may make an in depth video on proper stress-testing at some point, since I find it's a necessary action yet one that can easily be done wrong, but this is a start!
This girl will be returning home soon with new parts!
