Your brain LOVES what is familiar to it. We see this time and time again with clients when we ask them to think of different ways to solve a problem. At first they can only come up with the SOS :) eventually, new ideas start flowing and we get to some new insight. Don't stop at the SOS!!! Keep pushing through and see how quickly you get #excitedforwork again!

Let this be your reminder for today. Most of what we see online (and in almost every single ad!!) is totally warped and not realistic. ⠀ ⠀ I'm not talking about filters or cleaning up blemishes. ⠀ ⠀ I'm talking about a crazy and unattainable standard of "perfection". ⠀ ⠀ Our brains have been trained to see only a certain beauty standard. ⠀ ⠀ So don't beat yourself up for not having a 22 inch waist. ⠀ ⠀ My waist looks a lot likes the girl's on the right, and I love my body!⠀ ⠀ It's taken me consistent and daily practice of self love and body talk to achieve this level of body appreciation. ⠀ ⠀ Back in the day, I was a size 4 as a Pilates Plus instructor/celebrity trainer, and I still thought I wasn't lean enough. Crazyyyyyy!⠀ ⠀ Before that time, I was a plus size model and I really tried to embrace my body, but living in Hollywood had me constantly comparing myself to the cookie-cutter standard of beauty there. ⠀ ⠀ Before that time, I was naturally a skinny kid my whole life. ⠀ Being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 17 had me go from a size 2 to a 12 in about a year with all of the insulin I was taking. ⠀ ⠀ This journey humbled me and truly had me understand what it felt like to be uncomfortable in my own body. ⠀ ⠀ This supported me in learning how to connect with women about what causes us to hold onto body weight. ⠀ ⠀ Choosing to practice self love became my purpose. ⠀ ⠀ I wanted every woman in the world to discover what's available when we love ourselves and have a healthy relationship with food. ⠀ ⠀ Today, my size doesn't matter and I have no idea how much I weigh. ⠀ ⠀ I used to weigh myself every day, and I haven't weighed myself in 5 years (my doctors know, but I ask them to not tell me, because it DOESN'T MATTER)!⠀ ⠀ Begin talking to your body in the same way you'd talk to your little girl (your inner child). ⠀ ⠀ She's with you every day, and she hears everything you say to her. Be kind to her. She loves you. ⠀ ⠀ #loveallthatisyou #unicornuniversity #unleashyourinnerunicorn #thatunicornlife

Am I right? Isn’t it just easier to take care of ‘whatever’ yourself? It might be easier to avoid holding someone accountable in the short term, but in the long run, avoidance usually results in a big headache. Head over to Linda's blog to check out the answer to this and many more accountability questions! Link in bio!

Thought leadership is more than being passionate about a certain idea. It's about creating awareness about that idea, while educating and aggregating followers around it. Don't sit by idly. Take the lead. 🚀 ➡️ www.speakersbase.com
