We are obsessed with the Fauve Garden cocktail created by @rhumhamm at @mettabk! Made with El Dorado Rum, cantaloupe, milk keffir, lime, oleo saccharum, nutmeg & mint. Couldn't get more delicious! 🍹

Volume X of our American Winemaker Series featuring John Raytek! John's story is one of quiet and individual perseverance – a humble and focused pursuit in the artistry of place. We are excited to release the ninth video from our American Winemaker Series, where we interview winemaking icons from our American portfolio Volume IX features @ehrenjordan of @faillawines. Celebrated for a career that has traversed varieties and styles, appellations and countries, Ehren Jordan is a high-wire act. He has deftly tightroped between power and elegance, always quietly testifying to the unshakeable tenets of great wine: it is of a place and time, and it cannot be manufactured, only ushered forth. Ehren’s devotion is not to a single patch of dirt, or the illusive nuance of a particular variety, but to balance, transparency, and composition – a fine, tensile thread drawn throughout his wines. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend and colleague Domenico Clerico. One of the original Barolo Boys, Domenico was a visionary with seemingly endless energy. His love and enthusiasm for the Langhe hills and the Nebbiolo he cultivated was extraordinary. His willingness to help other producers to do their best was also no small part of his charm. We fondly remember all of the truffles shaved, corks pulled, and music danced to with this pioneer. #domenicoclerico #baroloboys

Here at Skurnik Wines and Spirits we are very excited to expand our horizons into the wide world of Japanese sake and spirits! Japanese whiskey in particular has deservedly received a lot of attention in the past few years as some of the finest on the planet. The vast world of sake brewing covers the entire Japanese archipelago and has a rich history stretching back at least 1400 years. Just as we’ve been doing for years with wine, we are excited to introduce the US to a variety of small batch, premium sake from family producers, many with histories stretching back a hundred years or more. In June we hit the road in California to properly introduce ourselves with a series of tastings in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego. These events combined the 2017 Terry Theise June Tour + the complete Skurnik Wines West Portfolio. We hope everyone who attended had as much fun as we did! Here’s an inside look at our tasting in Los Angeles at The Line Hotel. To see ALL the pictures click the link in our profile. #skurnikwineswest #swwroadtrip
