It’s the final day of the @gastronomista_ #LDCTakeover – many thanks to all of you who have followed along. In addition to creating my own recipes, I have been extremely lucky to tour some of the world’s best distilleries; learning about how spirits are made from the masters who make them 🙇. I love meeting people from all over world who are passionate about what they do: bartenders, ambassadors, blenders, and distillers: it is their stories, their passions, and their creativity that inspire me every day. Many thanks to the @Liquordotcom team for inviting me to do a takeover this week. Please follow me at @gastronomista_ for more craft cocktails & boozy adventures! Cheers! #thecultureofdrink

One of the best cocktail tips I ever learned is that we taste with our eyes first, meaning that those pretty garnishes a critical part of the cocktail experience! While working on @Gastronomista_ I have fallen in love with styling: I scour antique markets for beautiful glassware, hoard antique silver trays and coasters, and collect gilded cocktail picks of different shapes and sizes. I think drinks look best with a touch of freshness to them; if it be a fresh lemon peel, a tropical pineapple leaf, or a seasonal flower – sometimes plucked from the park (…shhhhhh…) 🌸😭Pro Tip: always google check your buds to make sure they aren’t poisonous ☠️ • • 1 / Arsenic & Old Lace with absinthe, crème de violette, gin, dry vermouth 2 / An Obituary Martini with gin, absinthe, dry vermouth, topped with a spring Snow Crocus 3 / Gin & Juice garnished with fresh sage 4/ Cherry Blossom Martini made with vodka, @luxardousa maraschino and celery bitters 5/ A Cherry Champagne Cocktail made with cherry juice, amaro, @luxardousa and topped with champagne. 🍒🍾 • • #LDCTakeover #thecultureofdrink

For day three of the @gastronomista_ #LDCTakeover I wanted to share a few of my favorite Negroni variations from over the years, the bracingly bittersweet and always satisfying cocktail that inspired me to start a line of accessories for the Epic Imbiber. • • 1 / Negroni Necklace from the @Gastronomista_Shop 2 / A Classic Negroni from the @rinoyachtclub 3 / The Gastronomista Artichoke Negroni made with Cynar, Cardamaro, and Artichoke-Infused Gin 4 / The Unusual Negroni from @Dantenewyorkcity 5 / Campari straight for the hardcore bitter lovers out there! • For your own Negroni necklace (or perhaps a Daiquiri or a Piña Colada) follow @gastronomista_ and click the link in my profile. #thecultureofdrink

It’s #TikiTuesday ! I love everything that goes into the presentation of tropical drinks from the Tiki mugs to the palm fronds, tiny details that help whisk our imaginations off to the sandy beaches of a remote island. So, queue up the surf music and break out the rum – it’s time to get this Tiki Party started.
