Made a #mississippipotroast for supper. The broth was divine and I drank it up! 🤤 I tossed together a quick Brussels sprout slaw with bacon at the last minute because I decided against another cauli mash dish. I've been making this one-pot paella for a few years now. It's a well-balanced meal in terms of meat, veggies, and grains. I add shrimp and smoked chicken sausage, but you can sub with any other kind of protein that you prefer. For veggies, I add tomatoes, onions, and peas. Yum! 😍 . It's pretty simple to make. I sear the shrimp and sausage first, then cook the veggies. Then I add rice and water and let it simmer until tender. I also add saffron and paprika. #savorytooth #onepotmeal . One pot meals are my jam. 🥗 Meal prepping can be tedious. 🙄But doing one pot meals take little time and makes eating clean easier for days. 👍🏼 Although this one is not very pretty, it's tasty and nutritious! I started with 3️⃣ frozen chicken breast in the crockpot. I added smoked paprika, garlic, red pepper flakes, vegetable broth, and a few cups of brown rice or quinoa 🍚. When it had been cooking for a couple hours, I tossed in a bag of chopped baby carrots🥕, a carton of cherry tomatoes🍅, and handfuls of fresh kale💚. Gave it a quick stir and then back to playing with (read: refereeing) my kids😂😍
