A sweet date and Raspberry treat. Did you know that berries are one of the foods you are better off buying biodynamic? Because of the ratio between peel and "flesh", berries often carry a higher amount of pesticides than other fruit and veg. I'm not always buying everything organic but berries I try to make sure to get the good stuff. Especially since I eat berries almost daily in the summer - I also stock my freezer with them in the rest of the year, because I simply looove them in desserts, smoothies and porridges. If you have wild berries close by - why not pick a big bunch of natural goodness and freeze what you don't use ♡ This recipe will be available in one of my coming books (2018 @quartocooks)

Monday and rainy and cold in Amsterdam☔️😕⠀ What better way to make a summer salad for lunch to get some sunshine on the table and celebrate Bettina's @bettinas_kitchen party on this 100 shades of grey skies #avomonday 💚🥑💚 ⠀ So here my panzarella salad starring Mr. Avo with colored tomatoes, red onion, capers, basil and bread all soaked in a vinaigrette of Dijon mustard, sherry vinegar and a good fruity olive oil. The most easy tomato sauce, I learnt at the cooking retreat at @laquerciaestate a few months ago. Tomato, basil, a pinch of salt and extra virgin olive oil 🍅🌿 ••• Cuando la sencillez supera cualquier receta. Esta salsa de tomate que aprendí en el curso de cocina italiana en @laquerciaestate hace unos meses es un básico imprescindible: tomates, un buen puñado de albahaca y una pizca de sal. Nada más señores. Primero cocemos los tomates a fuego lento con aceite de oliva y luego los mezclamos con la albahaca, pasamos por el pasapuré y luego por el chino. Chimpúm! #theartofslowliving
